October 23, 2019 at the Institute of Sustainable Technologies at ul. Pułaski in Radom took place the 1st RADOMS CAREER FESTIVAL 2019. Thirty companies from the following industries: construction, metal, food, automation, transport as well as all Radom vocational schools presented their offer, whose recipients were the eighth grade students of all Radom primary schools who will soon choose the direction education. "We want to disenchant the Radom market, Radom economy and show young people that there are companies in Radom that can offer an excellent career path. I am convinced that the result of the festival will be a wise decision faced by students from the eighth grade of primary schools, "said Katarzyna Kalinowska - Deputy Mayor of the City of Radom. Radom vocational schools presented their educational offers during the Festival. Vice President Karol Semik reminded that the offer of Radom technical schools is already very popular. About 60 percent of junior high school graduates, and now junior high and primary schools, choose to study in this type of school. "This is due to our cooperation with employers. At the national level, we are pioneers when it comes to the dual education system. This year we already have the first graduates. I think that what has already been done is a guarantee that this system will last and be well adapted to the labor market "- assessed Mr. Karol Semik - Deputy Mayor of the City of Radom. According to the president of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Radom Earth Łukasz Białczak, the dual education system that combines learning at school with practical vocational training at the employer is a very good solution that should be developed. "Cooperation between the city, entrepreneurs and schools is exemplary. The effect is that graduates of secondary schools immediately find a job and are very well prepared for it "- emphasized Mr. Łukasz Białczak. THE FIRST CAREER FESTIVAL was organized by the Service Office of the Radom Economic Zone of the Municipal Office in Radom in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Radom District, the Chamber of Craft and Small Entrepreneurship, the Mazovian Self-government Teacher Training Center Faculty in Radom, the ŁUKASIEWICZ Research Network - Research Institute of Exploration Technology and Professional Republic of Poland
