My profession, my future - a summary of the promotion of vocational education among high school graduates

20 schools in Radom and the region and contact with over 1100 high school graduates. These are the results of meetings organized under the project "My profession, my future" - promoting vocational education among high school graduates. The project is implemented with the participation of: Radom City Hall, Kazimierz Pułaski University of Technology and Humanities and Radom entrepreneurs.

During short meetings we tried to convince the graduates to stay in Radom, continue their studies at technical universities and then take up a job in thriving local companies.

Most of the meetings were held in person. After the covid break, we again had the opportunity to meet personally with high school graduates and their teachers during 45-minute "talks". They were made more attractive by a presentation interspersed with films promoting the various departments of UTH. Together with the representatives of the university and companies from Radom, we tried to show them how Radom has changed over the past years, what its cultural offer looks like, and what the economic map of the city looks like now, what companies are thriving and what they produce. Our meetings were summed up last Thursday, with a focus on the evaluation of previous activities and the process of changes to be made for the future. All this to make the project reach an even bigger group of high school graduates, gaining a better reception and, consequently, fulfilling its assumptions one hundred percent.
