The new space of the Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship (AIP) was opened at the University of Technology and Humanities in Radom. The event took place on June 6 in the Rector's Office building on Malczewskiego Street and was combined with a meeting of the Economic Council by the President of Radom.
The participants were welcomed by Prof. Sławomir Bukowski, Rector of the University of Technology and Humanities in Radom and Dr Ewa Ferensztajn - Galardos, Director of the Academic Business Incubator at UTH, who explained the purpose of the incubator's activities.
The Incubator aims to provide students with the best possible preparation for independent functioning in the market through incubating project, business, training and scientific activities. An important aspect of its activity is also to inspire cooperation between the scientific and economic circles of the region to increase competitiveness and innovation, by promoting the idea of innovation and knowledge transfer within the tasks performed. It serves as a link between science and business.
Mazovian Startup workshop for students will take place in AIP on June 14th from 10.00 to 12.00. It will be led by Adrian Migoń from Technology Incubator Foundation.
Deputy President, Katarzyna Kalinowska, PhD, emphasized that the opening of the new incubator space is an event awaited by students who want to take their first steps in business.
Katarzyna Kalinowska pointed out the important role of the local business in the development of the Radom economy and in inspiring and supporting young entrepreneurs. She presented Andrzej Stanikowski, long-standing president of ITM Poland sp. z o.o. and currently a member of the supervisory board of the Tembo group, with a thank you note for helping the Ukrainian entrepreneur, engaging in talks and recommending Radom as a place worth doing business in. Thanks to the help of the President of the Management Board, Ukrainian entrepreneur was able to bind Radom.
Andrzej Stanikowski, thanking for the kind gesture of the city authorities, emphasized the commitment and efficient activity of the Radom Municipal Office employees, as a result of which a new production plant is being built in our city.
The next point of the meeting was the official opening of the new AIP space by Prof. S. Bukowski and Vice President Dr. K. Kalinowska.
An important aspect was presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Andrzej Puchalski, Ph.D., Professor UTH Rad.; referring to the construction of the center of digital technologies (industry 4.0), which would combine the activities of the university with industry.
The ceremony was attended by Jacek Sztolcman, the manager of the incubator at the University of Warsaw. The relationship with the Warsaw incubator already established by the Radom Economic Zone Service Office resulted in a study visit to the capital city, where the managers of the incubator shared their experience and knowledge in running an entity supporting entrepreneurship.
The manager of the UW Incubator presented the benefits of creating such a unique place, emphasizing the special role of the cooperation between mature companies and young business adepts. The Incubator is a place where participants-students and scientists-transform their knowledge and experience into real and practical action.
The Business Council meeting then continued within the walls of the university.
